A brand is a name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers.

Branding can result in higher sales of not only one product, but on other products associated with that brand. For example, if a customer trusts the brand, he or she is more likely to try other products offered by the company. Brand is the personality that identifies a product, service or company (name, term, sign, symbol, or design, or combination of them) and how it relates to key constituencies: customers, staff, partners, investors etc.
Brands typically are made up of various elements, such as:
Logo: The visual trademark that identifies the brand.
Tagline or Catchphrase.
Graphics: The dynamic ribbon is a trademarked part of Coca-Cola’s brand.
Products & Packaging: The distinctive shapes of the Coca-Cola bottle and of the Volkswagen Beetle are trademarked elements of those brands.
Colors: Owens-Corning is the only brand of fiberglass insulation that can be pink.
Sounds: A unique tune or set of notes can denote a brand. NBC’s chimes are a famous example.
Stationery: Letterhead + business card + envelopes, etc.
Marketing Collateral: Flyers, brochures, books, websites, etc.
Signage (Interior & exterior design)
Anything visual that represents the business.
